Plastic Surgery: It’s About More than you Think

If everything you know about plastic surgery comes from online celebrity news sites, it would be understandable if you thought that it was mainly about breast and buttock augmentation/enhancement, facelifts, and perhaps the occasional nose job (rhinoplasty). You might also assume that most of the people who obtained it were entertainers or reality television personalities. Payam Jarrah-Nejad, M.D., F.I.C.S., F.A.C.S., aka Dr. J, knows personally that men, women, and even children from all economic and social strata can and do benefit from plastic surgery. From ear pinning (otoplasty) for children and teens, to a mommy makeover in Beverly Hills, to male breast reduction and facial procedures for both genders, plastic surgery goes well beyond the facelifts, breast augmentations and buttock lifts we read so much about.

While most of us think of plastic surgery as an adult procedure, there are notable exceptions. Working pro bono, Dr. J has helped children from developing nations go on to live normal lives suffering from disfiguring accidents and congenital defects. As part of his regular practice, he has also helped numerous young people get past the cruel teasing that children with prominent ears can often suffer. The otoplasty Beverly Hills and Los Angeles parents trust has helped a number of youngsters to emerge into adulthood with a greater degree of happiness and self-confidence.

Finally, Dr. J is also moving beyond the stereotypes of plastic surgery as a mostly female phenomenon by performing breast reduction procedures on numerous men dealing with oversized breasts, i.e., gynecomastia in Beverly Hills. These procedures have helped patients to end the kind of embarrassment that causes some to dread, or even outright avoid, social events taking place at pool sides and beaches.

Whatever your situation, if you considering a plastic surgery, Dr. J and his team would love to hear from you.
